DENVER - Denver is full of historic architecture, but until now, many of the buildings have gone unrecognized.
A group from Historic Denver is working to identify buildings with notable architecture in Denver.
Discover Denver is the first citywide survey in Denver. The survey is an effort to identify buildings.
It's a collaborative project between the City and County of Denver and History Colorado. The survey will collect information from public records, neighborhood canvassing, academic research and tips from the public.
According to History Denver, Discover Denver's mission of the survey is to identify the places that matter to Denver's history, communicate the value of historic resources and nurture a culture of reinvestment.
Surveys like this have been conducted in other large cities across the country like Los Angeles and Phoenix.
