KUSA - Wheat Ridge police say a semi truck carrying gravel overturned near eastbound Interstate 70 and eastbound Highway 58 Monday afternoon.
The driver suffered only minor injuries but was still sent to the hospital.
The Highway 58 exit was closed for hours as crews cleaned up the gravel. The cause of the crash is under investigation.
Since 2011 at least four trucks have overturned in the same area. The latest incident happened July 25.
CDOT says they have known for years that the ramp in the area is an issue. A spokesperson for the department says the ramp is nearly sixty years old and isn't up to modern design standards. The department says they don't have the funding to fix the issue.
