DENVER - Former President George W. Bush was in Denver Monday night to receive a special award from the University of Denver.
The former President did not directly address Syria. He did say that he has no desire to be involved in politics and does not think it is good to criticize President Obama, because it makes the country look bad.
He focused on the September 11th attacks, the war in Iraq, and his relationship with Russia's Vladimir Putin.
The visit was part of the annual Korbel Dinner that raises money for scholarships. A number of students and faculty planned to protest outside the sold-out event over the decision to honor the former president.
