KUSA - Colorado's football game Saturday at home against Fresno State is still on, school officials said Thursday during an update on the campus flooding situation.
Folsom Field is natural grass and sits well-above Boulder Creek. School officials said the field is fine and "has excellent drainage so at present there are no issues with the game on Saturday."
Kickoff is scheduled for noon Saturday, and the grass parking lots around the stadium will be closed.
Because the Buffaloes' regular practice field, which is down near Boulder Creek, was saturated Thursday morning, the team delayed then moved practice to the Kittredge lacrosse field, which is synthetic turf.
As part of an upgrade in spring 1999, drainage and other below-field updates were made when Folsom Field returned to grass as part of a $1.2 million project.
As for the high-school sports, Boulder Valley School District, Denver Public Schools and many other districts have canceled all Thursday events.
