FORT COLLINS - Larimer County officials are reporting 398 people missing amid massive flooding, down 245 from previous estimates.
The sheriff's office said Monday that 213 people had been located and 32 other names on the list turned out to be duplicates.
The Colorado Office of Emergency Management is reporting more than 1,250 people missing statewide, but officials say that estimate is expected to fall when new figures are announced later Monday.
State officials had been reporting that more than 1,000 were missing in Larimer County alone, but county officials said that was incorrect.
The missing in Larimer County included 80- and 60-year-old women in the Cedar Cove area of Thompson Canyon east of Estes Park. The sheriff's department says both are presumed dead.
