KUSA - As of Monday, Glen Haven emergency personal are still in rescue mode, working day and night to get stranded residents of town to safety.
Many ways in or out of the Larimer County town, including Highway 43, were washed out in the canyon. All roads to Glen Haven are still closed.
The destruction left behind in the north fork of the Big Thompson includes homes that have been washed away, destroyed roads and vehicles sitting in the new river bed.
Monday from the air and on ATV's, crews were working to try and get stranded residents out. With bridges and roads gone, they're using ropes to cross the river-tied to the few trees left standing in the canyon floor.
There's still no water or electricity in many places around Glen Haven. Residents of the small town are saying the it may never be rebuilt.
