DENVER - You never get a second chance to make a first impression. That old saying is especially true if you are trying to sell your home.
Realtor Wade Perry says that's why the photos of your property, which are posted online, are so important.
"The most thing to remember is this: How you live in your home and how you sell your home are two totally different things," Perry said.
Before you even put a for sale sign up, Perry recommends clearing out furniture, removing personal pictures/knick knacks and getting rid of anything you are not using.
When it comes time to post pictures of your home online, Perry suggests hiring a professional photographer, preferably someone who has experience in taking photos of homes. Perry says the common mistakes he sees when homeowners try to take their own photos are: ones that are blurry, have bad lightning and are taken from the wrong angle.
