RECENT COLORADO FLOODING STORIES
The Colorado State Patrol said it happened in Jefferson County on Highway 72 in Coal Creek Canyon around 1 p.m.
The driver has been identified as 46-year-old Ubaldo Marquez of Commerce City.
Troopers say Marquez was heading to an area where a railroad track was washed out to drop off material when his truck experienced mechanical issues.
Marquez got out to inspect the rear of the truck when it began to roll backwards, crushing him. Marquez died on the scene.
Troopers believe Marquez may have left the truck in neutral.
Workers on scene were able to put something in the back wheels to stop the truck from rolling even farther.
The state patrol says it will go for a mechanical inspection on Thursday to determine what caused the vehicle to roll.
His family has set up an account at Wells Fargo to help pay for his memorial and burial.
It is under the Ubaldo Ruiz Marquez Memorial-Burial, number 6815487522.
