KUSA - Scattered rain showers and gusty winds moved into the Denver metro area Friday afternoon, according to the Colorado weather forecast.
A Wind Advisory is in effect for Yuma, Wray, Burlington, and Cheyenne Wells from Friday evening through Saturday morning. Gusts could top off to 50 mph.
Snow will coat the Front Range and Central Mountains as this storm tracks across the state. Winter Weather Advisories stretch across the Central Mountains until midnight. This includes Vail, Aspen, Snowmass, Crested Butte. Elevations above 10,000 feet could see between 2 to 5 inches of fresh snowfall.
Bundle up! A Frost Advisory is in place Saturday morning for portions of the Urban Corridor overnight as we see some of the chilliest temperatures of the season. Lows will bottom out near freezing along the I-25 corridor.
Drier, warmer conditions return Saturday and Sunday.
