KUSA - Custer County authorities are looking for a hiker who has been missing for almost a week.
Arvada resident Mark Stice left for a hike in the Sangre de Cristo Mountains last week. His wife reported him missing Saturday after he failed to return from a hike.
Search crews found his car and a fishing rod on South Colony Road, southwest of Westcliffe, which they believe to be the origin of his hike.
The primary search area includes Crestone Peak and Kit Carson Peak. Crews will be in the Crestone Peak area Saturday as they continue their search.
Stice is an experienced hiker who has hiked dozens of 14ers in the last two years.
