KUSA - It was a day of laughter and tears. For all the reasons to celebrate, it was a time to remember for many others.
The 2013 Komen Denver Race for the Cure was held Sunday and brought out thousands of people. They celebrated survivors and donated to support breast cancer research.
The effects of breast cancer reach far beyond just the person battling the disease. That's why at the Komen Denver Race for the Cure, there's a special effort to recognize the family and friends who fight alongside their loved ones: the co-survivors.
Just because the race is over doesn't mean you've missed your chance to take part. Registration for "Sleep in for the Cure" continues through Oct. 15.
