DENVER - Denver may be the next Colorado city to charge a fee for using plastic bags.
The city council will vote for the first time on the proposal Monday evening.
If the council passes the resolution, shoppers would pay 5-cents per plastic bag at most grocery stores within the Denver city limits.
The store would keep 2-cents, and the other 3-cents would go to the city.
