DENVER - It's going to be hot on Larimer Square on Friday.
Hundreds of Denver firefighters representing dozens of local and national firehouses will square off on the Square with their best red and green chili. The recipes of Denver's finest firemen and women are sure to set off three alarms!
With bowls of chilis being just a few bucks each and all proceeds going to benefit the Muscular Dystrophy Association, you have no better choices and no better place to be for lunch that day.
In 2012,, the firefighters raised more than $100,000 for MDA.
Larimer Street will be closed from 5 a.m. to 4 p.m., and 14th Street will be closed from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. for this event.
