KUSA - The high chance of snow this Friday has people thinking about the upcoming ski season.
The race to start making snow started last weekend at both Loveland and Arapahoe Basin, however the weather didn't cooperate for long.
It doesn't appear any amount of snowfall will get Colorado skiing started just yet. Loveland is still waiting on an 18-inch base of snow.
Loveland doesn't like to announce its open date until one or two days before. Last year they opened on Oct. 23. A few years before that, it was Oct. 7.
