KUSA - An emotional memorial service was held Saturday morning for the three Coloradoans who were killed in a deadly rockslide that claimed five lives.
The service took place at 11 a.m. at Buena Vista High School in memory of 46-year-old Dwayne Johnson, 45-year-old Dawna Johnson and their daughter, 18-year old Kiowa-Rain Johnson.
The other victims of Monday's rockslide were 10-year-old Baigen Walker and 22-year-old Paris Walkup, both of Birch Tree, Mo. They were nephews of Dwayne and Dawna Johnson.
The sole survivor of the rockslide is Gracie Johnson, daughter of Dwayne and Dawna Johnson. She is at Children's Hospital in Aurora recovering from a broken leg.
The Johnsons were the family everyone knew in the small Chaffee County town. The entire community has been impacted, students and parents alike.
Several community members shared special memories of the family during the service.
