KUSA - Aurora Police are investigating a possibly fatal motorcycle crash Saturday night on eastbound Smoky Hill Road just west of South Ottawa Place.
At 11:06 p.m., a man on his motorcycle failed to negotiate a curve in the road and hit a raised median. The motorcycle tumbled, throwing the rider to the ground.
The rider was transported to a local hospital where he is in critical condition and may not survive his injuries.
Both excessive speed and alcohol are suspected as factors in the crash. Police say he was not wearing a helmet.
The name of the man was not released.
The Aurora Police Traffic Section is conducting an investigation.
