KUSA - A major roadway for some Boulder County residents is back open Monday morning.
Highway 119 in Boulder Canyon is open for the first time for a morning commute since being damaged Sept. 12.
It's a sign of recovery since the September floods. It's been almost a month since the historic rains brought massive flooding to Colorado.
State officials say they worked around-the-clock to repair Colorado Highway 119 from Boulder to Nederland, and they are making progress on other highways, including U.S. Highway 36.
The highway to Nederland is opening a week ahead of schedule.
Gov. John Hickenlooper and Colorado transportation officials will be on hand Monday to discuss efforts to repair roads damaged by flooding.
