GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. (AP) - The federal Bureau of Land Management is planning to reseed portions of areas where two wildfires burned this summer.
BLM spokesman Chris Joyner said local officials are waiting on approval from the Washington office to reseed about 380 acres of the nearly two-square-mile Wild Rose Fire in Rio Blanco County north of Douglas Pass.
According to the Grand Junction Daily Sentinel, the agency also is looking to reseed about 200 acres of the three-square-mile Citadel Fire north of Meeker.
