DENVER - Denver anti-gang activist Terrance Roberts appeared in court Monday. He is facing charges of attempted murder.
Roberts was flanked by several friends and family as he arrived in court, including fellow anti-gang activist Reverend Leon Kelly.
Roberts waived his right to hear the charges against him. He was also assigned a public defender.
Police say Roberts shot a man during a community rally Roberts helped organize in Park Hill. He told police he felt threatened. The victim is still in the hospital.
