KUSA - About 400 volunteers showed up to a Habitat for Humanity construction site Monday for World Habitat Day, a day of action for affordable housing.

Habitat for Humanity of Metro Denver is the host city for the 2013 Jimmy & Rosalynn Carter Work Project.
The 30th annual Carter Work Project started on Sunday and lasts until Saturday.
Habitat Metro Denver's local Carter Work Project includes the construction of 11 new homes and repair work on 15 existing homes in Denver's Globeville neighborhood.
