COLORADO SPRINGS - Air Force's football game at home on Thursday night remains at question awaiting clearance from the Department of Defense.
Air Force is scheduled to play against San Diego State at Falcon Stadium at 7 p.m. All athletic competitions at the Academy remain postponed. The Falcons' football Saturday at Navy was the only AFA athletic event that has taken place since the partial government shutdown. Both teams have an open date on Oct. 19 and could make it up the game then.
AFA coach Troy Calhoun's weekly Tuesday news conference was again canceled this week as the academy officials await word from the DOD. Practices are going on as scheduled.
San Diego State players and coaches are scheduled to leave Wednesday afternoon for Colorado Springs, but some support staff needs to leave on Tuesday.
