DENVER - The only Colorado company left standing in the Wall Street Journal's Startup of the Year competition is Asius Technologies - one of five startups still competing in this nationwide contest.
Asius has created an inflatable audio technology that promises to change the earbud and headset market. The Ambrose Diaphonic Ear Lens promises good sound quality, a custom fit and a safe listening experience.
The lens is actually a tiny airbag that protects the ear drum, thus helping people enjoy music without the desire to pump up the volume so high that it damages hearing.
Stephen Ambrose is the inventor and founder of Asius Technologies. He told 9NEWS that he'll find out Nov. 2 if the company moves on to the final three in the competition.
