BURLINGTON - Science teacher Michael Steach made a bold bet with his eighth-grade class in 2012 when they were taking TCAP test: outperform the state average, and you pick my hairstyle.
Now, Steach has a bright pink mohawk.
Burlington High School's homecoming week seemed like the perfect time to announce to the now freshman science class that they had outperformed the state average in TCAP science scores, and would get to select Mr. Steach's hairdo.
The class chose a bright pink mohawk, which the teacher has been sporting for more than a week. He has not said when he will go back to his normal style.
