KUSA - You probably didn't know a man named Jay Gould, but you would have admired him.
He was a successful businessman who took an unusual turn later in life. He gave his money away to work with Franciscan monks, helping homeless men in Denver.
Jay, who was known as "Brother James" to the people he served, died of cancer on Thursday. He was 79 years old.
In 2004, 9NEWS anchor Ward Lucas and photojournalist Brian Willie went to see Brother James in the middle of his second career.
