FORT COLLINS - Fort Collins breweries brought home less hardware from the weekend's 2013 Great American Beer Festival.
Odell Brewing Co. was the only gold-medal winning brewery in town, awarded for its English-style pale ale, 5 Barrel.
New Belgium Brewing Co. was one of 10 silver-medalist Colorado breweries, recognized for its Charlie's Brown brew in the Pro-Am competition.
Loveland's Grimm Brothers Brewhouse took home a bronze medal for its European-style Dunkel, The Fearless Youth.
In 2012, Fort Collins breweries won six gold medals and a bronze; Grimm Brothers took home bronze medals for two beers. Funkwerks also won a special recognition as "Small Brewing Company and Small Brewing Company Brewer of the Year."
Founded in 1982, the annual Great American Beer Festival brings brewers from across the nation together under one roof. Out of 250 breweries awarded bronze, silver or gold this weekend, 46 were from Colorado.
