COLORADOAN - A Midtown Fort Collins restaurant is shutting down this weekend.
Runza, at 2601 S. Lemay Ave., will close Sunday, its owner confirmed.
"We're moving on to new adventures," said Adeila Tonn, who has owned the franchise for more than eight years. "We're just finishing up strong and going out with a smile."
Tonn said increasing competition made it harder to stay profitable, so she decided to give up the location. The restaurant's lease and franchise agreement both end this month, she said.
The restaurant's workers have found jobs at other stores, including a separately owned Runza location in Loveland.
Runza serves burgers, stuffed sandwiches and other casual dining fare.
