The Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) is seeking applicants for Project Specialist - Public Assistance
positions in Colorado.
These are temporary jobs paying between $38 and $41 an hour.
The Public Assistance Project Specialist will provide support to the project management team in the form of cost estimating, site inspections, writing damage assessments and project scoping worksheets. Other responsibilities will depend on the nature of the disaster.
Candidates should possess strong computer, communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills.
Relevant Experience Required:
5+ years of cost estimating (large construction, roads, and bridges preferred)
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
Physical: Be able to walk and survey large areas of land and property
Administrative: Be organized and have adequate reading and writing
Computer: Be proficient with Excel, and Word software; Emmie preferred
Organizational: Have superb organizational abilities
Interpersonal / Communication: Be able to work well with others and contribute to a healthy and effective team atmosphere during stressful and
