KUSA - FEMA assistance for hotels was supposed to end Sunday, however it has been extended through Nov. 2.
The Transitional Sheltering Assistance program, which pays for eligible flood evacuees to stay in participating hotels and motels has helped nearly 600 victims in nine different counties.
FEMA is notifying applicants if they are eligible for this extension via a pre-recorded phone message.
