KUSA - There are plenty of reasons why Denver's DU neighborhood is in high demand for home buyers.
Wade Perry of Coldwell Banker Devonshire was our guest on 9NEWS 8 a.m. The neighborhood, also known as University Park, sits across from the University of Denver. Streets bordering the park are graced by charming Victorian-style homes. Nearby Observatory Park actually houses a small working observatory and is a recreational focal point.
Most of the residences were built in the 1930s to 1950s. Some have been kept in their original state, while others have been scraped and replaced with large, custom homes. Prices range from the upper $200's to $1 million or more.
People who live in the area enjoy being able to walk for coffee or to a trendy restaurant near the University. The University itself offers a variety of local cultural and sporting events. Swimming and exercise centers are open to the public too.
