DENVER - A teen suspected of stealing a cell phone from a woman in a wheelchair was arrested Friday, Denver police say.
Denver police say 19-year-old Vonte Richardson-Riley is the man seen in surveillance video released on Monday and shared on Facebook by hundreds of people.
The victim, Natalie, spoke to 9NEWS Thursday about the crime. She said she's "nobody to mess with."
Denver police accuse Richardson-Riley of stealing Natalie's phone from off a lanyard around her neck while she and her dog were on the 16th Street Mall.
Police initially withheld the name of the suspect, claiming he was a juvenile.
It's not known if Natalie's phone was recovered. Several people have generously offered to help her replace it.
