KUSA- A commuter bus crashed on Highway 82 near Carbondale around 7:30 Saturday evening injuring 11 people.
The Garfield County Sheriff's Office says there are no fatalities.
According to the Colorado State Patrol, 11 people were transported to Valley View Hospital. Three patients have serious injuries. The others' injuries are described as moderate.
Troopers say the bus was traveling westbound in the right lane of Highway 82 when it encountered a slow-moving tractor, also in the right lane. The rear of the tractor had running and flashing lights but not a slow moving vehicle sign.
The driver of the bus attempted to avoid a crash by quickly changing lanes but lost control and the bus began to skid.
The crash shut down both directions of Highway 82, about 4 miles east of Carbondale.
The bus involved in the crash is a commuter bus that runs from Aspen to the Rifle area. It's operated by the Roaring Fork Transit Authority.
State troopers say no other vehicles were involved in the crash. The crash remains under investigation.
