LITTLETON - A Littleton police officer pleaded guilty Monday in federal court to one count of being a prohibited person in possession of firearms and one count of possession with intent to distribute.
Federal prosecutors accuse Jeffery Johnston, 46, of buying Ecstasy from an FBI confidential informant.
The government alleges Johnston was an illegal drug user who possessed many weapons, including an assault rifle. The second charge alleges he distributed Ecstasy.
Johnston was accused of paying $1,300 for 37 MDMA pills and 6.3 grams of powder Ecstasy during an undercover drug buy at his Parker home in July.
The Littleton Police Department has placed Johnston on unpaid administrative leave.
Johnston is scheduled to be sentenced Feb. 3, 2014.
