KUSA - With the Denver Broncos' bye week in full swing, quarterback Peyton Manning was one of a number of players who did not practice Tuesday. What there was of "practice."
The Broncos had a light day and will have another Wednesday before taking off four days. Denver next plays Nov. 10 at San Diego.
"We rested some guys. That's the objective this week is to get some guys rested who have had a lot of reps in the first half of the season," coach John Fox said. "And also get some guys in there that we might possibly need moving forward through the last half of the season."
Tuesday's practice was highlighted by players switching uniform numbers and a visit by actor Taylor Kitsch (of "Friday Night Lights" fame).
"We pretty much have everybody back now. Once we get 24 (CB Champ Bailey) back, he can plug in easy but finally we're healthy," cornerback Chris Harris said. "Finally we got our guys back and it's really the first time people have seen this the whole season-us as a unit.
"We're just going to continue to get better. That pressure is huge and earlier this season, having quarterbacks comfortable in the pocket and when you play a team like us, all we play is man to man so being able to get those quarterbacks rattle and us play tight coverage is a good thing."
