BERTHOUD - A Berthoud police officer who admitted to beating his teenage daughter is out of a job. 9NEWS has confirmed Jeremy Yachik has been fired.
He was arrested last week on child abuse charges. Police say he admitted that he punched, choked and kicked his 15-year-old daughter.
His ex fiance caught the abuse on tape. His daughter said she was often beaten, locked in rooms and force-fed hot sauce.
Berthoud Police Chief Glenn Johnson has been on paid administrative leave. Yachik's fiance accused Chief Johnson of covering up the video. He has not been charged.
