The 48th annual parade kicked off at 27th Street at 10 a.m. and headed down Blake Street, past Coors Field and thousands of revelers who lined the route.
Thousands of people were out enjoying a wide variety of music - Celtic, folk, rock, bluegrass and more. Families came out in full force to watch the Irish dancers doing jigs to fiddle solos, and to see the floats and fancy cars cruise through LoDo.
Humans weren't the only ones in attendance, though. There were also several types of dogs, from Irish Setters to Irish Wolfhounds.
The parade kicks off Denver's celebration of St. Patrick's Day. On Sunday, the 7k Runnin' of the Green will zigzag its way through the streets of Denver. It begins at 10:15 a.m. at 17th and Wazee in front of McCormick's Fish House. Day of race registration starts at 7 a.m. and traffic through downtown is expected to be impacted.
