"You can't have anything nice anymore," she said.
Gibson started collecting gnomes about five years ago. All in all, she had about 200 of them.
"I think they're cute," she said. "They're supposed to bring you good luck!"
Whatever luck they're supposed to bring must have been lost within the wee hours of Wednesday morning.
Someone snuck into Gibson's front lawn and snatched close to 150 of them.
"I had them all along the flower bed here and then I had them on the brick," Gibson said as she pointed toward her fence. "I had them all out in front of my flower pots."
Gibson figures the thief or thieves stole close to $2,000 worth of lawn gnomes.
Most of them were gifts she received over the years.
"Shame on them," Gibson said. "They meant a lot to me."
Gibson lives at the intersection of Otis Avenue and Reno Drive in Arvada.
"It's a nice, quiet, neighborhood," Gibson said. "Everybody watches out for each other."
None of Gibson's neighbors saw a thing.
Arvada Police responded to the report Wednesday morning.
If you have any information about the missing gnomes, call Arvada Police at 720-898-6900.
Gibson would like her gnomes back. No questions asked.
