Blair Griffith, Miss Colorado USA, lost her home last fall shortly after winning the crown. Her mother also had a heart attack and her father passed away.
Now, Griffith is battling an injury.
This week, she was admitted to the hospital for a herniated disc. She says she is dealing with a lot of pain, but is said to be recovering well.
She mentioned her injury in her latest Facebook status update and has since gotten dozens of well wishes.
9NEWS was first to share Griffith's story. Ever since it aired the night of Feb. 22, media from around the world have been requesting interviews with her.
Griffith has visited The Today Show, E! News and Inside Edition.
Donald Trump, who runs the Miss USA pageant, has also heard of her troubles. He has said he may be able to help her out.
The pageant will air on June 19 on NBC.
