According to a new Consumer Reports study, the most popular burger chain is West Coast chain In-N-Out Burger.

Chipotle was ranked the number one Mexican food joint.

Chick-fil-A was hands down the number one place for chicken.

Big name chains like McDonald's, Burger King, Taco Bell, Arby's, Pizza Hut and KFC got low marks.

Only 11 percent of patrons rated McDonald's food as excellent. For Burger King, KFC and Taco Bell, 15 to 19 percent of customers said the food at those chains was fair, poor or very poor.

Quiznos, Domino's and Sbarro also got low scores.

Subway, which has more locations than any other fast food chain in the U.S., received average customer satisfaction scores.

The best sandwich shops were Jason's Deli and Firehouse Subs.

Customers surveyed also showed they like cooking their own pizza, giving high scores to Papa Murphy's, which lets people order a pie to bake at home.
