Right out of high school I joined a popular Mexican band as a lead singer and traveled the U.S. , Mexican Republic, and even South America performing for sold out crowds. I was fortunate enough to receive several recognitions and awards such as a gold album for record sales and two Latin billboard awards.

My departure from the music group came at just the right time when I got an offer to host a local variety television show featuring interviews with popular musical acts that came through town. After that I was bit by the TV bug and soon started to work at the local Univision and Fox affiliates in McAllen, Tx. I became the first weather forecaster giving the weather in both English and Spanish. I loved the science of weather so much I decided to learn more about it. I am currently studying Broadcast Meteorology through Mississippi State University.

I joined the KUSA family in February of 2012.

After clocking out of work at 9 News, I head home for my other full time job, where I'm known as mommy to three young boys. I like exercising with some good tunes on my I-pod, cooking and baking for my family, and exploring my new home state, Colorado.
