Storms started early Saturday along the Front Range with powerful wind gusts that broke branches and downed some trees in the Denver area.
9NEWS Meteorologist Marty Coniglio reports that Buckley AFB had 61 mph winds while DIA's highest wind reached 67 mph.
As the storms moved to the east the damaging wind continued with several locations in Morgan County reporting trees down and damage to fences and nearby automobiles.
By 9:00 p.m. all of the watches and warnings for severe weather had expired.
A tornado was spotted at 5:08 p.m. near Eads, 27 miles north of Lamar, moving northeast at 15 miles per hour.
The locations impacted include Eads and rural areas of central Kiowa County.
9NEWS viewer Laura Paul sent us video of the Tank & Tummy gas station in Lamar. The canopy over the station blew over due to straight-line microburst wind.
There haven't been any reports of injuries due to weather in Lamar and Kiowa counties.
