Colorado fires: Pine Ridge Fire to be fully contained by end of the day

Crews patrolled the Pine Ridge Fire on Tuesday and continued mop-up on the northwest and southern flank of the fire.

One hot spot was extinguished along the east flank that parallels the Interstate 70 corridor.

The fire is burning 13 miles east of Grand Junction and has scorched 13,920 acres. 

More than 400 personnel are fighting the fire.

The fire broke out on June 27 just before 2 p.m.
