According to police, at 9:45 p.m., police got a call of a shooting in the 1500 block of Nome Street. When they arrived, they found a 51-year-old man who was shot.
He was transported with non-life-threatening injuries to a local hospital.
Officers say the victim drove into an apartment complex parking lot and parked. Two suspects went up to the victim, accosted him and then a fight broke out. One of the suspects shot the victim in the leg.
The suspect fled the scene.
The first suspect is described as a Hispanic man in his late teens to early 20s, 5 feet 11 inches, 180 pounds and has short hair. The second suspect was described too vaguely.
Police do not think the victim and the suspects knew each other.
The Aurora Police Reward Fund is offering up to $5,000 and Crime Stoppers is offering up to $2,000 for the arrest and conviction of the individuals responsible for the shooting.
