Dispatchers for the Aurora Public Safety Communication Center chose to deal with crisis as a profession.
They said the 911 calls from the Century 16 movie theater started pouring in at 12:39 a.m. Friday morning. The first caller reported a shooting in an auditorium.
9NEWS got a rare chance to talk to the two women who were dispatching police to where they were needed most, as people were frantically calling for help.
These women say they chose this profession to help people, and the last thing on their mind was to be recognized for doing their job.
These are just two of many stories after Friday's horrific theater shooting in Aurora.
