The Greeley Tribune reports a police dog caught 25-year-old Joseph Robert Bernal on Monday after he allegedly fled from an officer during a traffic stop. He faces charges of felony menacing, resisting arrest and possession of marijuana.
He already faced charges in Logan County including attempted first-degree murder and aggravated robbery in connection with shootings Aug. 12 that injured two men at a gas station in Atwood. An affidavit says one victim was shot in the neck, paralyzing him.
Leticia Hernandez of Greeley and Monica Pena, also known as Monica Baray of Evans, also have been arrested in connection with the shootings on suspicion of attempted first-degree murder and conspiracy charges.
