Scientists say the average temperature for the United States is about 57 degrees Fahrenheit, more than 3 degrees above the 20th century average.
According to the Boulder Daily Camera, scientists don't know if the U.S. will break the record of about 2 degrees above average recorded in 1934 because the year is not over yet.
