The newly named "Century Aurora" opened its doors to the community for the first time since the July 20 shooting.
Throughout the weekend, Cinemark will show a wide variety of movies for free but people have to get their tickets in advance.
Some residents felt the theater should permanently close, out of respect for the victims, but Aurora Mayor Steve Hogan says he heard overwhelming support from residents that they wanted the theater open again.
