KUSA - Kaiser Permanente is experiencing such an influx of flu cases they are discouraging some parents from bringing in their children for well-child visits because they could be at risk of catching the flu virus from other sick patients in the building.
However, what if you cannot avoid going to the doctor? If you have to have an important test done or have some other medical issue examined, a registered nurse has some ideas on how to avoid catching the flu from a doctor's office.
Peggy Sabell, a registered nurse and director of Infection Control and Prevention for Kaiser Permanente, spoke to 9NEWS about these tips Tuesday morning.
