BERTHOUD, Colo. (AP) - Coroner's officials say two people who died after a crash near Berthoud (BERTH'-ihd) last week were from Garfield County.
The Larimer County coroner's office identified them as 18-year-old Marquelle Miller and 20-year-old Malachi Bilson. Miller's uncle Russell Talbott tells the Daily Sentinel that Miller grew up in New Castle and recently moved to the Denver area. He says she was friends with Bilson, who lived in Silt.
Authorities say Miller was driving south on U.S. 287 when she turned left in front of an SUV around 9 p.m. Friday. The vehicles collided. Miller died at the scene. Bilson died at a hospital. The SUV driver and one of his passengers were treated at the scene, while two other passengers were treated at a hospital and released.
