LAKEWOOD - Lakewood police say they're looking for 52-year-old Warren Dale Watson for questioning in connection with the death of a lawyer.
Claudia Miller's body was found in her office, in the 400 block of Union Boulevard, by a cleaning crew Tuesday evening. The 66-year-old was an attorney and had a family-law practice located in the building where she was found.
Police would like to speak with Watson in regards to any knowledge he may have about this incident. Watson is described as a black male approximately 5'06" tall and 170 lbs. Watson is known to wear glasses. Watson is a wanted fugitive on an unrelated case and there is an active warrant for his arrest.
He may be the same man caught on surveillance video using Miller's credit cards at a Walmart store at 36th and Quebec Street as well as a King Soopers store at 28th and Quebec Street.
Lakewood police recovered Miller's 2012 Honda Accord that was stolen from the crime scene.
Miller's family released the following statement Thursday:
"Claudia was a loving sister, mother, and grandmother, who dedicated her life to helping others. In over 30 years practicing law, she committed herself to helping people navigate a complex legal system, in times of family crisis, when they needed help most. She spent most of her spare time with her adoring grandchildren and friends, and was an avid Broncos and Rockies fan.
Claudia is survived by two children, three grandchildren, two sisters and many, many other dear friends and relatives who will miss her dearly."
Police say they found Miller's car in the north, metro-Denver area.
Lakewood Detectives are asking anyone who feels they may have information that would assist them in their investigation to call Crime Stoppers at 720-913-7867. You may be eligible for a $2,000 reward.
