WHEAT RIDGE - Federal agents raided the well known gun shop Gunsmoke Friday morning.

Gunsmoke and its owners were featured in a reality show which aired on the Discovery Channel.

IRS agents served a search warrant on Friday. 9Wants to Know investigator Jace Larson has learned that search warrant is part of an ongoing financial investigation.

Agents started serving the search warrant about 8 a.m. Friday and were still at the store Friday afternoon.

The store is closed for the day.

The owners of the property could be allowed back into the store on Saturday, Bryan Thiel, IRS criminal investigation spokesperson, said.

The store is located at 44th Avenue and North Iris Street in Wheat Ridge.

The store recently made news when burglars stole several guns from the store.
